Digital Paintings

Prima Materia

This body of work is about envisioning a cosmology that unites various 
predictions in science, religion, and spirituality through 
multiple visual interpretations. 

The process involves glitching my physical paintings through manipulations
in Audacity and then using the deconstructed image as digital
material to work with. I like playing with the idea that these new
paintings are reverberations of their old selves but reborn in this
new digitally digestible form for online viewers to contemplate using
a language of both painting and digital deterioration.
